When grilling, you usually use just one grill rack. You put the meat on, put the vegetables on, flip the meat—it’s not browned yet—flip the peppers—they’re burnt. What if you could create zones with different temperatures, vary the levels, and use deflector plates (stone plates that shield direct heat)? The result: faster grilling of foods with different temperature requirements, hassle-free and all at the same time. This is what our adjustable, multi-level grill rack system for Kamado grills is designed for.
Two major advantages that make the adjustable system better than a single grill grate:
1. Multiple levels, giving you more space to arrange your food.
2. You can create zones with different temperatures. By using deflector plates, you can shield either the entire area or half of it from direct heat, in either a full or half-moon shape. This allows you to cook foods that require slow and fast cooking in both indirect and direct cooking zones at the same time.
