You can use the grease-catching grill tray in two ways while grilling or barbecuing:
- You can grill directly on the tray, preventing food from falling through the grill grates. It’s also perfect for removing and serving grilled meats.
- When grilling or barbecuing, placing the grill tray between the grill grate and the heat source catches the dripping fat. This prevents flare-ups. For added safety, you can also fill the tray with water. The water not only cools the dripping fat immediately, but the evaporating moisture also helps keep the grilled food from drying out.
