A wet rub, also known as a marinade, is essential for grilled meats. During barbecue season, feel free to experiment.

It consists of three main ingredients:

  1. Acid (lemon juice, vinegar, mustard)
  2. Fat (oil, butter)
  3. Spices and seasonings (herbs, garlic, ginger)

Let’s see a few recipe ideas to spice up your grilled meats!

1. Lemon-Garlic Marinade

Ingredients:

  • fresh lemon juice
  • minced garlic
  • salt, pepper
  • olive oil
  • fresh parsley

A truly refreshing, Mediterranean marinade that pairs perfectly with chicken or fish.

2. Honey-Mustard Marinade

Ingredients:

  • honey
  • mustard
  • soy sauce
  • olive oil
  • salt, pepper

The harmony of honey and mustard creates a perfect balance. It’s an ideal choice, especially for pork and chicken breast.

3. Asian-style marinade

Ingredients:

  • soy sauce
  • rice vinegar

  • honey
